Kevin,
Suzie and I would like to thank you for how you’ve mentored Jake over the last four years, and how you’ve helped him become a more complete QB, earn a scholarship to UTEP and be a better person.
The things you teach and reinforce translate directly to game situations. Your focus on footwork, proper stance, release point etc… helped Jake complete nearly 70% of his passes as a senior. The fundamentals you teach help him understand his role in getting the ball down-field into the hands of athletes to improve his team’s chance of winning. The mental part of what you teach has helped Jake expand his football knowledge and continue to grow in mental toughness which is so important for QB’s. The things you teach you know in your gut because you played the position at a high level and you’re constantly learning. That’s important since it’s easy to be misled by instructors, who are smart people, but teach some things that are not fundamentally sound.
Jake is excited about his scholarship to UTEP. Mike and Aaron Price are QB centric coaches who know what an accomplished QB looks like. They’ve coached Drew Bledsoe and a handful of other QB’s who have gone on to play in the NFL. The fact that UTEP chose Jake is a reflection on both you and Jake. It’s a testament to the way you develop QB’s, and Jake’s capacity to take direction. I know you and Jake take great pride in this scholarship as it’s the culmination of a lot of hard work over a long stretch of time. We’d also like to say thanks for your help with the recruiting process. It can be a confusing and frustrating but between you, coach McBride and Randy Rodgers we got good advice and a lot of help.
To say that teenage boys can be distracted may be an understatement. When issues come up with personal relationships, his players or his coaches, you’re a mentor Jake can rely on for sound advice or in some cases to just listen. Your constant presence in his life has without a doubt helped prepare him for the upcoming football and life challenges he’ll face as Division I college athlete.
Suzie and I would also like to thank you for helping us connect with the best doctors in Dallas when Jake was injured in his senior season. Your friendship and support during this difficult time mean a lot to us. We appreciate how you helped Jake see beyond his injury to a time where he would be on the field again. Your encouragement helped pick him up and get back to his usual, positive state-of-mind.
While Jake’s story is still being written, we’re grateful for what he’s accomplished and excited about his future. And we’re happy to know that as he moves forward you will be with him both on and off the field. Thanks for all you’ve done Kevin.

I have known the name Kevin Murray for many years, but never had the opportunity to meet him while growing up in Dallas. Kevin and I competed against one another in High school baseball. Kevin was a standout centerfielder at North Dallas High school and I was a 3rd baseman at Dallas Madison. It wasn't until the spring of 2009 when I had the pleasure and opportunity to meet the Dallas legend Kevin Murray. My son Brett Jr. participated in his second Under Armour camp at Valley ranch, but little did I know Kevin Murray was in attendance looking on and evaluating Brett Jr. The next day I received a call from Kevin asking me to consider him working with Brett Jr. to improve some of his basic skills as a QB.
Well, needless to say Kevin Murray not only improved Brett Jr. basic skills, but transformed him into an All-District QB, District Offensive MVP, 2ND team All State, appearances in two All-Star games while leading his team to the State semi-finals as a full time one year starter at QB.
I can truly say unequivocally, without Kevin Murray's input into Brett Jr's. senior year as a QB, it would have been difficult for him to put together an outstanding senior year as a one year full time starter, which ultimately earned him an Athletic Scholarship to the University of Central Oklahoma. Still today Kevin and my son Brett Jr. share a closeness and bond that every player and coach should experience.
Thank you so much Kevin for the support and care you show to our student Athletes. My wife Angela and I along with Brett Jr. will always be appreciative to the standard of work you do in the community and for our student athletes.
Blessings,

We would like to personally thank Coach Murray for all of his mentoring and teaching he has provided to our son, Seth Russell. Coach Murray’s ability to instruct the game of football is highly respected at the high school and collegiate level.
Coach Murray’s instruction at the quarterback position has enabled Seth to achieve a new elite level of performance. Seth has been able to maximize his opportunity and catapult his career to the next level. Coach Murray’s one on one application has positively impacted Seth with not only strong solid skills and mental toughness but also game preparedness.
The Russell family takes comfort in knowing that Coach Murray will be a lifelong friend and mentor as well.

Dear Kevin,
I just want to take this opportunity to thank you for the coaching and the attention you have given to some of our players who have personally procured your services during the summer months while they were in the Dallas area.
The discipline, the skill level, the detail you instruct them with has made them better players and ultimately will not only enhance their success as football players, but our success as a football team.
I know your expertise is in teaching quarterbacks the finer points of quarterback play. Jerrold Johnson and Matt Joeckel have definitely benefited from your training. Footwork, accuracy, release points plus enhancing their mental make-up are all part of what makes them better quarterbacks today and in the future.
You have also done an excellent job as well with wide receiver Jeff Fuller as he attempts to be one of the best receivers in the Big XII this season. He is sinking his hips better as well as running precision driven routes.
I wish you the best of luck in your future coaching endeavors with other athletes. I am confident they will be success stories.
I always ask my coaches to “make a difference” with the players they coach both on and off the field and it is evident you are doing just that in your coaching of these student-athletes.
Thank you for your professionalism and your continued interest in developing players.
Gig ‘em and God Bless,

My son, Russell Bellomy, has been working with Kevin Murray since January 2010, about 10 months now. Russell has always had great high school coaching. However, playing in a “run oriented” offense and Russell’s desire to play QB at the next level led us to Coach Murray.
Russell had always spent his summers playing select baseball. Due to baseball game conflicts he attended very few college mini-camps and had little exposure to college recruiters. Juggling playing Varsity baseball and Varsity football was a real challenge for Russell. Kevin had an immediate impact on Russell without even stepping onto the football field. Having professional knowledge and experience in both sports, Kevin was able to sit down with Russell and articulate the challenges of playing both sports and what it would take for Russell to realize his dream of playing college football. Kevin’s “been there done that” experience is an invaluable asset.
Coming off a record setting Junior year as the starting QB, Russell had good game film that enabled us to create a very good highlight DVD that we sent to multiple college programs. Six offers came fairly quickly as well as interest from several more. However, questions about Russell’s ability to throw from the pocket, footwork, and arm strength also came from some coaches.
Kevin knew exactly what to do to address these concerns / weaknesses. He worked Russell hard and concentrated on proper mechanics and proper technique. After each session, Russell was just as tired and sore as if he had gone through a hard football practice at school. Throwing drills and footwork drills including 3, 5, 7-step drops were a part of every session prior to throwing any routes to receivers. After just a few sessions with Kevin, there were clear noticeable results.
Kevin is extremely gifted and knows how to use his talents to get the most from his clients. He cares about them on and off the field. He also works on the mental part of the game and prepares the player to be successful in the toughest on-the-field situations. Through Kevin’s coaching and guidance Russell has improved his pocket presence, developed consistently correct footwork, and has dramatically increased the velocity of his throws.
In the spring several college coaches came to visit our school during evaluation period. During this time, we are proud to say that Russell’s offer list expanded from 6 to 17 D-1 offer’s and he has committed to play QB at Purdue University. We are convinced that Kevin Murray’s tutelage and his dedication to preparing Russell to become a highly competitive QB attributed to this success.
Parents, if your son has the desire to play college football, I highly recommend Kevin Murray as your son’s personal QB training coach. You will not be disappointed.

In May of 2009 my son, Josh Greer, was referred to Kevin Murray by Matt Joeckel (who was one of Kevin's students and is now a freshman quarterback at Texas A&M). I will never forget our first workout and evaluation with Kevin. Josh had been playing quarterback since the 5th grade, but he had never had any real formal quarterback training. Toward the end of the session Kevin spoke to Josh and told him there were several fundamental items in his throwing motion that needed work. Then Kevin posed a question to Josh that would forever change the course of Josh's football dreams. Kevin stated that he could make Josh better and he would become a good high school quarterback, but he actually felt that Josh had what it took to play on Saturday afternoons in the big stadiums. To do this it would be necessary for Josh to "forget everything he knew about being a quarterback and completely start over." This would be a set back in the short term for Josh (as much as a year) but if Josh really wanted "it", Kevin could train and teach him to become a player at the next level. Kevin then ask Josh what do you prefer. Without hesitation, Josh replied that it had always been his dream to play on Saturday afternoons so let's get started. Josh nor I realized at the time the huge impact Coach Murray would have on Josh's playing abilities!
Kevin began to completely remake everything about Josh’s throwing motion and footwork. Josh is tall at 6' 4", with extremely long arms. Kevin has worked on Josh's release to both shorten it and make it quicker. Josh is currently playing quarterback for the Arlington High School Colts, which runs a spread offense. This puts Josh always receiving the snap from the gun. However, Kevin has worked continuously with Josh teaching him 3, 5 and 7 steps drops. Kevin drills Josh in taking the ball from under the center, roll outs, scramble drills, footwork drill, always working to keep his eyes down the field. Kevin is training Josh to become a quarterback who can play the position from whatever formation a college team would require.
Just before Josh's spring game last May, Josh broke his left (non-throwing side) collarbone. This resulted in Josh missing the entire 7 on 7 summer season, as well as not being able to lift or run for 10 weeks. Once Josh was released by the doctor to begin throwing and training, Kevin was on hand to begin the rehabilitation process. Kevin refused to take short cuts in Josh’s recovery. Kevin never allowed Josh to lose focus of his ultimate long term goal. Kevin's work with Josh was perfect in ensuring that Josh did not create an injury by attempting to rush the process.
Kevin has always been more than "just a quarterback coach" to my son. He has been a teacher, mentor, counselor, instructor and a great friend. Our family views Kevin as a gift from the Lord and a man who was brought into our life at the perfect time to help prepare Josh for the ups and downs of high school football and his future in college football. There is no doubt that Kevin Murray is fashioning Josh into a young quarterback who will achieve success both on the football field and the playing field of life. Kevin Murray is simply the best at what he does!

"My son, Winston Gamso, has just completed his senior season as the quarterback at Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas. Winston led his team to a 15-1 record and took the team all the way the Texas State 4A Finals. After the close of the 2007 Season Winston was voted All State, Region II Offensive MVP, District 10 Co-MVP, District 10 Player of the Year and All Area in DFW. Despite all of these accolades he wanted to be a better quarterback."
"We have worked with Kevin Murray for the past few months. It is amazing how much Winston has learned in such a short time. Kevin has taught him to be a better quarterback fundamentally, to utilize his body better and, essentially, to make better throws. It is hard to believe that Winston could be as successful as he has been at the QB spot and still have a lot to learn. Kevin Murray has taught Winston to be an even better quarterback by improving his mechanics, teaching him to understand the fundamentals of the throwing motion and even improving his posture. All these things are leading to more consistent passes, tighter spirals and improved accuracy. If this was not enough Kevin works with Winston on his footwork and his agility in the pocket. All of this is essential if Winston wants to play quarterback at the collegiate level."

quarterbacking. He started by changing and perfecting his throwing
mechanics, which were not nearly as good as we thought they were.
Now, he throws like a college quarterback, consistently and accurately.
All the pass patterns are rehearsed to a fine precision so that there are no
weaknesses in his passing armamentarium. He constantly drills him on speed
and agility, pocket presence, pass rush simulation, looking off defensive
players, and receiver check-downs. Often, these different elements are
done simultaneously so as to simulate game situations. All of the
workouts are done with receivers from his team so that timing is perfected
and drills are realistic."
"In addition to the physical training, Coach Murray also stresses
mental preparation. He and John review game film in order to learn

"Thank you for all your instruction with my son, Michael. It is one thing to know the intricacies of the QB position but quite another to teach it. Kevin has the unique ability to take his knowledge of the QB position and teach the proper techniques, mechanics and mental aspects to younger athletes. His teaching style is always upbeat, professional, patient and caring."
"Through his sessions with Kevin my son’s footwork is better, his release is quicker and his accuracy is more consistent and he has a much better overall understanding of the QB position. Best of all on every throw my son can now tell himself what he did wrong from what Kevin has taught him and correct it on the next throw."

My son, Kevin Rodgers, started working with Kevin Murray this past summer of 2008. Coach Murray has given Kevin an understanding of the fundamental techniques to excel at the quarterback position. Not only does Coach Murray teach the physical fundamentals, he also teaches the mental aspects of the position. He has a true interest in developing Kevin to his fullest capabilities. Coach Murray understands what it takes to be successful and works to give Kevin that same understanding. We feel extremely fortunate to have found someone that will work with our son and give him the honest feedback to make him better. I would not hesitate to recommend Coach Murray to anyone who wants to raise their skills to the next level.

When I was contacted by Kevin Murray about working with my son Carter, my
wife and I had just begun our search for a quarterback coach to help Carter
take his abilities and talent to the next level. Undecided, I was most
interested in hearing what Kevin had to say.
Kevin explained to me what he and his academy were all about, how he would
apply and teach his techniques and mechanics of the position on a
one-on-one basis (which I was all ears on) but what impressed me the most
was his sincerity in explaining how he would give his honest evaluation
about Carters progress (good or bad) during the course of his coaching him
and more importantly his honest evaluation on Carters chances of being
a next level quarterback.
Needless to say, Carter has been working with Kevin and we couldnt be
happier with the results of his coaching and Carters progress. Carter, a
junior starting QB at W.T. White HS, just came back from the US Army
All-American Combine in San Antonio and performed very well thanks to what
Kevin has coached him on to date. There are many combines and college
football camps Carters attending during off-season and its very
comforting to know that he will be on top of his skill sets when competing
at them thanks to Kevin.
I can go on and on about Kevin - and the benefits an aspiring quarterback
can attain by working with him, so let me close by saying this. If you know
someone who has the desire to be the best quarterback he can be
mechanically, mentally and on a consistent basis then you should get them
in touch with Kevin Murray and have them work with him. I know one thing
for sure if they do - they will be a much, much better quarterback.

Coach Murray has been a blessing in our developing Bryce as a QB as well as trying to find the right fit for Bryce to have his future in college football. With Coach Murray’s experience and expertise, you can feel confident in his coaching, direction and advice.
One of the skills Bryce needed work on was his footwork. Bryce was invited to the Nike Camp and the Elite 11 of which he did very well. Bryce received a lot of recognition but received criticism about his footwork. After only working with Coach Murray a few times Bryce quickly improved. Many college coaches made comment of his footwork on his senior film and being something they loved and thought would transition well to the college level.

We highly recommend Kevin Murray as a quarterback coach. Our son, Matt Joeckel, has trained with Kevin for almost 3 months. Matt has always been a very good quarterback -- good arm, good mechanics -- and has always been very well coached at his high school. However, as he began being recruited by D-1 schools, comments about his footwork and questions asking if he could be as successful a QB using a 3, 5 or 7-step drop made us realize that Matt needed extra work. (His high school runs a spread offense.)

My son, Mac Morse and I were introduced to Kevin Murray in the Fall of 2009. I was immediately impressed with Kevin's direct, professional and honest approach to helping boys grow into young men. I was struck by his knowledge of the collegiate game and the business of recruiting. I have two boys, one who plays Division I football and Mac who is interested in playing at the next level. I have been exposed to many camps, personal trainers, combines and the like through my boys, and I am confident to say Kevin is one of the best in the business.
Becoming a collegiate quarterback is so much more than just possessing a strong arm. Kevin obviously works on the technical fundamentals which he is excellent at teaching, but what's more important, he works on the mental and emotional aspects of becoming a quarterback and the demeanor a young man needs to possess to be a leader on the field.
I have observed Mac's technical skills improve immensely from, point of release, footwork, pocket presence, accuracy, timing of his release and much more. Mac has recently competed in several area combines, and without a doubt, Kevin's tutelage and guidance have been instrumental in how Mac has performed. While Kevin will push an athlete to the limits, he is always positive and conscious of how a young man responds to the training. As a Dad, I have never been shy about my boys being pushed, but I have always wanted them to be treated fairly, honestly and objectively so that they may grow into quality young men. If you are a Dad, rest assured that your son is in great hands! If you are an athlete, and you are really serious about becoming a highly competitive quarterback, and you are willing to work hard, don't look anywhere else!
